taketwo attended the London Motor Museum's Pop up event where Elo King gave us a sample of his £2.5 million car collection in London's Soho. This very first pop-up museum was to celebrate and officially launch the start of Summer Cruising. We were fortunate to have a special guest appearance by celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli, where he provided everyone with a variety of his culinary expertise. On show were 12 exclusive breakthroughs, which represented decades of automobile engineering and design.
The London Motor Museum is located in Nestles Avenue, Hayes in Middlesex and is the only custom car museum in Europe. The museum is home to a unique collection of privately owned American and European classic cars of the automobile era, dating from 1950's through to the 1980's. The London Motor Museum has an amazing collection of over 100 classic and custom cars. These include hot rods, films cars like the Batmobile, the DeLorean from Back to the Future Trilogy and a signed Ford Gran Torino from Starsky and Hutch. The museum has a range of beautiful cars from the 1930's to the present day, creating a fantastic blend of classic and custom cars, which are unique and beautifully stunning.
Another unique benefit that the London Motor Museum provides is the chance for people to hire classic cars, these have featured in fashion shoots, events and music videos for artists like the Black Eyed Peas. The taketwo team had the opportunity to meet with the museum's founder Elo King, who also stars in MTV Slips and is a regular on the Gumball scene, in which he first drove with Gumball founder Maximillion Cooper in 1999 at the rally's first outgoing alongside celebrity drivers Billy Zane, Jason Priestly and Danni Minogue.
After an early career in modelling and fashion design, Elo has invested his life into his passion for collecting expensive and unique automobiles. These cars have been lovingly restored with their own individual modifications, making each vehicle truly unique. So, if you enjoy cars or want to take the family out for a fun experience then head to the London Motor Museum, it costs £10 to enter, however you only pay for one when you take two with the taketwo 2 for 1 London voucher and guidebook. There are also other great things to do in London with many other museums to see that feature in our taketwo book including the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising, the Dr Johnson's House and the Musical Museum!
